Official App from Nishikigoi Promotion Association Launched
Awareness Activities Also Conducted at Netherlands Show

The All Japan Nishikigoi Promotion Association (AJNPA) released its official app, “AJNPA NISHIKIGOI,” on July 21st. Based on the concept of “bringing the joy of Nishikigoi closer to you!”, the app utilizes an AI model trained on over 50,000 koi entered in shows. It supports users with daily growth records, value checks, and even participation in online koi shows. The app is designed for both experienced koi keepers and those new to the hobby.
To promote this specialized koi app overseas, the AJNPA exhibited and gave presentations at the “33rd Netherlands Koi Show,” organized by the Dutch Koi Association (NVN), held on August 16th and 17th at Appeltern Garden Festival in the Netherlands.
This koi show is notable as the first ever held in Europe and has grown into Europe’s largest koi event, attracting hobbies and dealers from around the world.
The presentation featured Shunichi Yoshida, AJNPA Vice Chairman, Kazuki Sato, AJNPA Overseas Market Expansion Manager, and Mayumi Kamura of Sessa Co., Ltd, who was involved in the app’s development. Mr. Yoshida explained the app’s development background, objectives, features, and how to use it, proposing new ways to enjoy Nishikigoi. The “Nishikigoi app,” a first of its kind, received a strong positive response from participants.
Furthermore, at the booth, alongside promoting the app to visitors, Japanese “omotenashi” hospitality was demonstrated through gifts like Nishikigoi stamps and clear files. The app recorded approximately 120 installations over the two days. Through these promotional activities targeting dealers and hobbies both within and outside the Netherlands, it likely contributed to increasing the recognition of the Nishikigoi Promotion Association.
