In his speech, President Yuan Jiandong pointed out that the Chinese koi industry boasts a solid mass foundation and huge market potential, yet it also faces challenges such as unbalanced regional development, insufficient standardization in competition judging, and intensifying industrial involution. He stated that the new council will focus on high-quality development, with core tasks including balancing the national industrial layout, restructuring the competition judging system, promoting the integration of the entire industrial chain, and building an all-media communication matrix.

From 2026 to 2027, the key priorities of the Koi Branch are to establish a national talent pool for professional judges, build fair, impartial and open national koi competitions, and strengthen friendly exchanges with koi associations worldwide including the Japan Ajinukai, Japan Shinkoukai, as well as organizations from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and other regions and countries. The Branch aims to form friendly alliances and jointly drive the development of the global koi industry.
